One of the possibilities involved in painting is the ability to influence public opinion through pictures that express a social or economic reality. This is what I call painting solidarity. How many times have we seen a picture or video and we realize we have to do something.
This painting came while reading a magazine like the women of sub-Saharan Africa and draw out their families alone, without support from parents or husbands.
I tried to capture the look of both not just a cry for help, but also a sense of harmony and peace. The truth that those mothers we see in videos and reports other than the suffering they endure, they leave others to convey mixed feelings difficult to define. So those eyes not only demand help, also expressed resignation, but with a ray of hope, that hope to have placed in us.
